The new building for the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Music on the Campus Südpol in Kriens brings together all the facilities of the Department of Music under one roof. The building houses teaching and practice rooms, a public library, a jazz club, a black box theatre and a concert hall for 280 guests. The central element is the cascading foyer, which extends over all floors and is characterised by four sound and light towers. The use of wood and concrete in the interior and the clinker brick façade support the sustainable construction and give the building a timeless aesthetic.
In the audio room, which houses an extensive record collection, the FEZ floor lamp creates a warm and calm atmosphere with its soft, directional light. It creates ideal conditions for concentrated listening and blends harmoniously into the overall architectural concept with its minimalist design.
