LYS

For the renovation of the Patumbah ensemble in Zurich, where the Swiss Heritage Society is setting up its new headquarters, Baltensweiler developed a floor lamp that matches the ornamentally structured architecture on the one hand and provides enough light for the workstations in the darkly painted rooms on the other. The result is a floor luminaire with a wide light branch and seven ornamentally perforated aluminium reflectors. LYS is the refinement of this customised luminaire, but was only produced for a short time due to its fragile structure. The innovative concept with two separately switchable light groups is taken up again in the IRIO luminaire.
