-
Is there an LED retrofit for HALO lampholder R7S?
Luminaires with halogen rod 160W / 230W with R7S socket. For these lamps there is no LED replacement with comparable luminous flux.
These may therefore continue to be produced.
If necessary, HALO can be converted to HALO LED in our assembly department.

-
TOPOLINO / PENDOLINO is there a retrofit lamp?
-
GU5,3 socket 12 Volt halogen reflector lamp (TOPOLINO – PENDOLINO)
LED retrofit lamps with GU5.3 sockets cannot be recommended or must be tested, as the dimmers often do not work and the beam angle is usually too narrow. Therefore we cannot give any recommendation.

-
Retrofit lamps
-
Retrofit lamps are LED lamps with the same shape and lampholder as conventional lamps. There are many such replacement lamps. However, dimming usually does not work properly and the amount and colour of light must be checked to ensure good and economical light.

-
Halogen lamp prohibition
-
From September 1, 2018, only the production of lamps with EEK (energy efficiency class) A, B or C will be permitted. The sale of remaining stock is permitted. So that BALTENSWEILER can grant a spare parts guarantee of 10 years, the relevant replacement lamps for our luminaires are in stock. For 15 years BALTENSWEILER has been exclusively developing luminaires with LEDs. Over 95% of all BALTENSWEILER luminaires sold in 2017 have LED as their light source and are not affected by the ban on light sources.

Magnets: Influence on implanted pacemakers or defibrillators
-
Small magnetic components are installed in our luminaires. Magnets may affect the function of pacemakers or implanted defibrillators.
Recommended safety distance from the magnet:
85 mm for new versions with a max. permitted magnetic field of 1 mT = 10 G.
105 mm for old versions with a max. permitted magnetic field of 0.5 mT = 5 G.
Generally, various items and devices may be sensitive to the static fields of magnets. The impairments can be temporary or permanent.
Suggestions for the safe handling of magnets in everyday life can be found on www.supermagnete.ch.
